Orchard Barn Walking Club

An event every month that begins at 9:30am on day First of the month, repeating until 7th July 2019
The aim of the club is to bring people together in the great outdoors. We look forward to growing a community that meets on the first Saturday of every month. Some Saturdays we will meet at Orchard Barn and others we will meet at a different location to introduce you to new walks in the area. We will walk for approximately an hour followed by a cup of tea and home-made snack for anyone who would like to stay. Dogs and children are more than welcome.
Walking is one of the easiest ways to get more active and become healthier. Sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise, walking briskly can help build stamina and make your heart healthier. Research also shows that it helps improve your mood, feeling connected with others and allows us the natural sunlight that is so good for our mental health.
Once you have joined we will send you a detailed plan that will list the meeting point, route and times. The club will run for 6 months starting February 2ndand continuing on the first Saturday of every month, finishing July 6th.
As part of the community, over the 6 months, you will receive information via email on the different seasons as we see our surroundings change, tips to continue your walking at home and other simple things that you may like to do outside with friends.
