Nourishing Winter Retreat Day
Saturday December 2, 2017 10am - 4pm
10am – 11am
The day starts with a mindful meditation session with Caroline, leave behind the stress and strain of the busy season and let Caroline guide you in this meditative practice, Caroline is a qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
11.15am – 12.15pm
11.15am Dr Sally will outline how to stay healthy during the winter months which will be presented by Alison Leighton our Nutritional Advisor, Alison will then go on to discuss healthy and nourishing foods for the season.
12.30pm – 1pm
12.30pm Winter Skin Care tips with our Orchard Barn Therapists, don’t forget to Nourish your skin as well. We will outline how to protect your skin against the elements and keep it hydrated with advice on the best for your skin type and a wide range of natural products to try out
1pm – 2pm
2pm – 4pm
The day concludes with a deeply relaxing yoga nidra and restorative yoga practice with Carmen. Carmen will guide you through a carefully constructed series of restorative yoga postures designed to create specific physiological responses in the body that are beneficial to your health and well being. The workshop will incorporate breathing practices and yoga nidra for deep relaxation to further help your body release tension and restore your mind, leaving you with a deep and profound sense of wellbeing. If your just wanting some peace and quiet, or maybe recovering from injury or illness, this gentle nourishing workshop will be just the tonic for you.

Restorative Body & Skin Retreat Day

Nourish to Flourish with Dr Sally Moorcroft
Dr Sally on keeping your hormone and gut health in order and how this can affect your body and skin, as so many skin problems originate from imbalance within the body . Alison our Nutritional Advisor in partnership Dr. Sally has written her top foods for anti-ageing and to have a healthy glowing complexion which Sally will also present.

Restorative Exercise with Kathy Cummings
Nutritious Movement / Restorative Exercise (T M ) trade mark ) is a movement programme applying the principles of physics, biomechanics, anatomy & geometry using 25 alignment markers & a series of stretching & strengthening exercises. By aligning the body before we move we restore our muscles back to their optimal length improving circulation, waste removal & cell regeneration helping to prevent disease & wear & tear of our joints.
In our modern lifestyles of sitting excessively, computer devices, repetitive movement & lack of movement we use very few of our 600+ muscles. Restorative Exercise will help you to understand how everything we do affects our whole system & can impact your health & well being.
The programme was designed by Katy Bowman world renowned biomechanist & author of several best selling books including Move Your DNA , Alignment Matters & recently Active Ageing.

Anti Ageing Skincare Regime and Facial Workout
Sally Marshall and Sophia Farren will guide you through the basic principles of an anti ageing skincare regime including an easy to manage daily facial workout, all based on Dr Hauschka principles.
3.15pm – 4.15pm
Yoga with Richard Tucker
Strengthen the Body, Calm the Mind, Open the Heart. Richard will focus on moves which stimulate digestion and your metabolism in this targeted Yoga session.
The day includes mini treatments, refreshments and a light lunch, recipe cards to take home in a goodie bag.

How Stress Can Ruin Your Health with Dr Sally Moorcroft
Dr Sally Moorcroft will go through the physical effects stress has on your body, what happens when you are stressed and how and in what ways this can impact your health. She will cover foods to combat stress and help level the hormones released.
10.45 am – 11.45am
Stretch Pilates with Genevieve Cummings
This class with focus on the breath and controlled exercises using the balls and rollers.
12pm – 1pm
Stress Recognitition and Self Help Techniques with Hayley Drakes
Hayley Drakes’ Interactive Session will focus on Recognising Signs of Stress and Techniques you can use at home or work for combatting those feelings, including some self help tips taken from the wonderfully relaxing therapy Reflexology which can be done on the hands.
2pm – 4pm

You can book just one session on the day or the whole day for £50
